Taking a course for category A1 is a crucial step in getting your licence. It's not the only requirement. You must also pass the practical test.

Theoretical lessons
Sigma Aerospace College offers courses that include all the theoretical training requirements to advance to licensing as a pilot. This includes the MEA Aeroskills Training package as well as Part 66 module assessments. They also meet the requirements for licensing of the European Union. These programs do not include any practical training. Students are able to complete practical training using RPL.
The theory lessons are an essential part of the course for category A1. To be able to take the theory test, you must attend 12 90-minute theory lessons. However, the number of these lessons could be lower depending on your progress in learning.
The lessons in the theoretical area focus on the considerations of audience, purpose and the choice of stylistic elements for writing texts. The lessons also teach you how to discern between facts, opinions, and judgments, and also how to improve your ability to think deductively and inductively. They also teach you the ability to critically examine and defend ideas.
Practical lessons
The course for category A1 prepares the student for a test on a motorcycle. This course is for students who want to ride a moped or small motorbike with a capacity up to 125cc. The lessons in the practical sessions cover the theory and practice of basic riding skills. The duration of the course is approximately four hours. Students who wish to pass the test must have completed at least nine hours of training under the guidance of an instructor.
The practical lessons for the category A1 course are broken down into sections. The first is an introduction to the basic rules for driving. The second section is a road-based lesson in which students will learn the techniques that will be tested in the Mod 1 test. The final lesson is an examination that lasts around 15 minutes. During the test the student is required to execute various maneuvers, either on Federal or Country roads. The student will also have to complete a series of special rides such as driving at dawn, during rain or at night.
In addition to the theory and practical instruction students must also pass a written examination. The exam is comprised of 50 multiple-choice tests. Practical test
The practical test is the last step in obtaining your category A1 licence. This includes a road skills test and a safety exam.
